Do-it-yourself all-in-one chassis aren't anything new, and though they tend to look at a little weird on arrival, they continue to crop up from time to time.
The latest offering comes from Taiwanese manufacturer GIGABYTE in the form of the MIB T5140. GIGABYTE's chassis, designed for the mini-ITX form factor, measures a slim 250mm x 65mm x 445mm and comes in an all-black steel shell.
Underneath the chassis' front bezel you'll find a single external 5.25in drive bay and a 3.5in drive bay, too. There's another 3.5in drive bay inside, but what you're really wondering about is that giant hinge standing tall above the chassis' main body.
The hinge - which, incidentally is detachable for those who don't plan on using it - can be used to mount VESA-compliant displays measuring between 19in and 23in. It's also height and tilt adjustable, but you'll need to ensure your display weighs less than 5kg.
Still a long way from being as sleek as a "proper" all-in-one, but perhaps useful for those in need of a lot-cost space-saving solution. We've yet to see any listings in the UK, but retailers in Europe currently have the MIB T5140 priced at around €50.
