We've previously noticed that Averatec has a tendency to make Apple-like PC products, and it's at it again with the all-new N3400 notebook.
The 13in system, pictured below is said to be ultra slim and weighs roughly 1.7kg. Featuring an aluminium-clad shell, it has the look of a MacBook Air, too.
Don't let the slimline front fool you, however. Apple's super-sexy system measures 1.94cm at its thickest point, and that's notably thinner than the N3400 which stretches out to almost 2.5cm.
Despite losing out in terms of dimensions, Averatec does have a few merits of its own. The N3400 is shipping with an MSRP of $799, and the base specification features a 2.16GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 processor, 3GB of DDR2 memory, integrated Intel GMA X4500HD graphics, a 250GB hard drive and a bundled external USB DVD writer.
Elsewhere, there's Wireless N connectivity, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and a built in 1.3 megapixel webcam.
Not a bad looking ultra-slim system, we reckon, but we'd like to see a model equipped with a Core 2 Duo processor, namely one from the low-power CULV line.
