Samsung has already announced a Blu-ray toting notebook today, but it appears the South Korean manufacturer isn't done yet as NVIDIA's senior product manager for notebook GPUs has been seen brandishing what's believed to be a forthcoming Samsung N510 netbook.

What's the N510 got to do with the GPU giant? Well, it's said to be based on NVIDIA's ION chipset - meaning GeForce 9400M graphics in a netbook.

There's no official confirmation from Samsung just yet, but netbookitalia.it suggests the system will sport an 11.6in backlit display, providing a useful 1,366x768 resolution. As for NVIDIA's ION, it'll be paired with one of Intel's latest Atom processors - the 1.66GHz N280 - and 1GB of DDR2 memory.

Elsewhere, we're told the N510 will feature 160GB of storage, Wireless N and Ethernet connectivity, and a six-cell battery as standard. Sounds promising, but early details suggest a European launch next month with the estimated retail price at "under €600" - that's firmly into full-notebook territory.

Love the specs, hate the price…

Seriously… 10-11 inch screen is enough. An SSD would be enough for me… Ion/Atom fine.. but €600 means £600 which is silly money
Im liking the specifications on this one, getting closer to the type of thing I'd like. Again, shame about the price.
These things seem to be getting bigger and more expensive as the technology progresses. Isn't it suppose to go the other way?
For another 100 I'd go for their R620 …
So it's basically a copy of the PB / Gateway stuff we saw earlier (i.e. 11.6", 1366x768 screen) , but with an NVidia chipset / Atom and it'll cost significantly more?

I know where my money would be going…
