The ATX-accommodating Fortress FT01 is a case in point. Clean look and decent thermals make it desirable at the current £140 etail price.
At COMPUTEX, SilverStone showcased the Fortress FT02, pictured on this page, which is a larger version of the chassis.
However, representatives reckoned it wouldn't cost much more than the incumbent because whilst the exterior is aluminium, the innards are (SECC) steel.
The drive-bay arrangement has changed between the Fortress models, and the roomy interior is plain to see. The deeper interior will hold larger boards.
Five 5.25in bays and five 3.5in drive-bays should keep storage in check, and the 615mm x 497mm x 212mm dimensions are somewhat bigger than the FT01's.
Raven-like in how the components are oriented, the Fortress FT02 does look cool on initial inspection, complete with integrated cable-routing.
Note the graphics cards going 'up'?
What you can't see from this angle is the ability to install a 2.5in drive on the far side - about time more chassis shipped like this. We should see it available in August/September for, hopefully, £150.
