We quite liked the look of Samsung's pebble-like N310 netbook when we first laid our eyes on the system, but further details are now slipping through the cracks and quickly changing our opinion.
The system, pictured below, is said to be reaching Europe in May with a lofty price tag of £399 - a little too much for a netbook, we reckon.
Had it featured the rumoured 2GHz Intel Atom processor, or lived up to the rumoured 11-hour battery life, we might have been sold. Sadly, it doesn't, and the system is now confirmed to feature Intel's traditional 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, coupled with the usual 1GB of DDR2 memory.
It isn't entirely generic, mind you, as Samsung has seen fit to equip the N310's keyboard with a special finish that supposedly makes it impossible for bacteria to live and breed. As standard, the N310 will also ship with a four-cell battery, providing around five hours of juice between each recharge.
Nonetheless, at £399, it's essentially a 10in netbook that'll be going head to head with systems such as the £329 Dell Inspiron Mini 10.
