MSI has officially launched its latest gaming notebook, the GT627. The system, pictured below, is aimed at those who like gaming on the go or uncompromising mobile media.
Inside the red-and-black shell - which, we feel, looks like something Michael Jackson would have worn in the early '80s - is a pretty tasty array of hardware. MSI's GT627 is armed with a choice of Penryn-based Intel Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and a useful 320GB hard-disk drive.
What the system's really proud of, though, is the GeForce 9800M GS GPU. Combined with the 15.4in 1,680x1,050 screen, it should offer reasonable framerates in most games, and it'll take care of decoding all your hi-def movies - played via the optional Blu-ray drive, of course.
As you'd expect from an MSI gaming notebook, it's equipped with the usual selection of tech-friendly gizmos including Turbo Drive Engine - allowing users to overclock the Intel Core 2 Duo CPU at the touch of a button.
Intrigued? Here's the complete MSI-provided specification, but there's still no word on pricing.
