Having teamed up with Adobe to kick start the GPGPU market back in September, NVIDIA is now taking the next logical step forward by bundling its Quadro CX GPU with Adobe's hardware-accelerated Premiere Pro CS4.

The Quadro CX, pictured below, is said to be architected to deliver the best performance for the GPU-optimised features of Adobe Creative Suite 4. Priced at around $2,000, it's aimed directly at professional video editors. In today's economic climate, though, every little helps and NVIDIA is hoping to entice more buyers with its bundle deal.

Up until March 31st 2009, the bundle of NVIDIA's Quadro CX and Adobe's Premiere Pro CS4 will be available as part of an introductory offer at a cost of $1,999. Individually, the two products amount to $2,798, so there's a substantial saving to be made. After that initial offer period, the bundle will revert to a estimated price of $2,299.

Giles Baker, group product manager for editing workflows, Dynamic Media at Adobe, had this to say:

Breakthrough innovations in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 are driving demand for the newest version of Adobe's intelligent post-production solution. By drawing on the encoding acceleration and visualisation strengths of the Quadro CX, the already powerful editing features of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 are enhanced, which provides productivity advantages for our customers.
