Inside the Radeon HD 4870 X2 ATOMIC's rather lush case are a number of usual goodies but nothing that'll really raise a smile. There are a pair of 2GB USB memory sticks and a useful 3m HDMI cable, but the bundle lacks any gaming titles.

At a cost of $699 - around $200 more than a Radeon HD 4870 X2 and $300 more than a GeForce GTX 280 - we'd have liked to have seen at least one triple-A game.

Warranty

Irrespective of the water-cooled nature of the product, Sapphire's Radeon HD 4870 X2 ATOMIC is backed up by a two-year warranty. Claims in the first year are handled by the supplier from whom the card was purchased from. Claims after this period are handled by a European-based service centre.
