Keen to help out enthusiasts, Cooler Master have reacted to the current UK market conditions with strong price cuts across many of its most popular products.
Combined with the 2.5% reduction in VAT, the new prices make Cooler Master’s high quality range of Power Supplies and Chassis much more attractive.
“We have been monitoring the overall economy and decided to take bold action to stimulate consumer interest”, said Mingkei Wu, Cooler Master UK.
He explained, “Naturally, over the last 2 quarters, improvements in manufacturing efficiency would have led to a lower price for end users on many of our products. Unfortunately, the global economy caused a massive increase in the value of the dollar and the street price has not moved the way we originally expected”.
“To redress the balance, I have authorised significant price cuts”, said Wu. “The price cuts offered to distribution will allow the channel to get their pricing down to the level we expected it to be at ‘naturally’ for this time of year”.
Among the price drops that have taken place is the multi-award winning Cooler Master range of Silent Pro power supplies, with changes in street price expected to be as follows:-
- Silent Pro 500 previous street price (including VAT) around £71
and now expected to be around £60 inc vat
- Silent Pro 600 previous street price (including VAT) around £81
and now expected to be around £69 inc vat
- Silent Pro 700 previous street price (including VAT) around £91
and now expected to be around £79 inc vat
UCP 900w was previously listed as high as £203 by some sites and will now be closer to £146 inc vat
UCP 1100w was previously listed as high as £230 by some sites and will now be closer to £160 inc vat
Similarly, the ATCS 840 chassis which has won many reviews over the past 10 days, was expected to sell at around £220 inc vat and this will now be closer to £188 inc vat
