Introduction
HEXUS took a look at ATI's new mainstream graphics card on Wednesday and found the Radeon HD 4670 to be a sterling performer at around the £50 mark.
Our benchmarks showed it to be up to 3x faster than the previous-generation Radeon HD 3650 and, at most times, good enough to beat out the more-expensive GeForce 9600 GSO.
£50 now brings you hither-to unseen performance, most would agree, but is it worth coupling two of these boards together in CrossFireX and using them as a ~£100 graphics subsystem?
That's exactly what we sought to find out when we took a couple of Sapphire cards and compared them to Radeon HD 4850 and GeForce 9800 GT with our mid-range benchmarks.
