Netbooks continue to arrive thick-and-fast, and with Dell's somewhat lacklustre debut out the way, the next big-name arrival could be coming from Samsung.
With a wide array of consumer laptops and a variety of UMPCs already on offer, we've wondered why it has taken the South-Korean giant so long to hop onboard the netbook bandwagon, but the wait could soon come to an end with this:
That's the yet-to-be-named Samsung netbook, on show at a WIBRO event taking place in Korea. The netbook, captured by Aving.net, doesn't yet have a confirmed specification but is expected to launch in Korea as soon as October.
The Samsung offering is said to offer a 10in screen and we'd expect the usual 1.6GHz Atom processor. From the image, it looks as though the keyboard is well-sized, and the device offers three USB ports, Ethernet, audio jacks and VGA out.
Will Samsung offer a unique take on the ever-popular netbook, or will it be more of the same? Only time will tell.
