Need more hard drive bays?

With Lian Li's high-quality reputation, most users are happy with the existing three-disk rack-mount kit, the EX-H33.

If, however, you need to add room for four HDDs to your chassis, take a look at the all-new EX-H34.

Lian Li's latest rack still takes up the room of three 5.25in bays, but it manages to squeeze in support for up to four HDDs. It'll support Raid 0, 1 and 0+1, and it has the usual 120mm (1,500rpm) fan housed at the rear to help keep the drives cool.

The aluminium frame features a front-loading door - complete with security lock - and individual handles for each HDD bracket.

The EX-H34 is "ideal for those cases with rows of 5.25in bays, but with very little HDD space," says Lian Li, but pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed.

Official press release: Lian-Li launches the EX-H34 HDD rack mount kit and the BS-08 Fan blower

“supporting RAID 0, 1 and 0+1, depending on your motherboard configuration.”

Eh? So it supports raid like a normal case supports raid?
It has no provisions for RAID at all, it ‘supports’ what the host controller supports. It's basically just a mechanical retainer and electrical conductor for disk to host contacts, it has no electronic ‘intelligence’ (the same with all hotswap bays).
I think the Raid allusion relates to the number of drives it can hold and, by inference, the levels supported.
Then raid 5 should be listed as well :P

I have a cardboard box big enough to do every raid under the sun… ruddy marketing.
