It's been a little over a month since AMD launched the last release of its Catalyst software suite, and now version 8.5 is upon us.
As always, there's a long list of resolved issues and performance increases, with games such as Lost Planet said to receive 5 to 35 per cent better performance on systems containing Radeon HD 3xx0 series products.
The key new features to debut in Catalyst 8.5, are detailed by AMD as follows:
- Catalyst Control Centre Component Video
- ATI Graphics Driver Un-install Enhancement
- SECAM TV Out Support
- 1080p HDTV custom mode
- HDMI Audio for non-standard TV modes
- Adaptive AA on OpenGL for Catalyst Control Centre
- 1080p24 Mode Support
- Windows XP Service Pack 3 support
