Earlier than expected, Microsoft have let slip the latest release of its Live Suite, aptly titled Windows Live Wave 2. If you've been running beta versions of Live applications for the past year or if indeed you're an x64 user who hasn't been able to use recent releases at all, now would be the time to upgrade to this final release.

As with the previous release, this unified installed will allow you to install your choice of the following Live applications:
Windows Live Messenger
Windows Live Writer
Windows Live Mail
Windows Live Photo Gallery
Windows Live Sign In Assistant
Windows Live Toolbar
Users with a 64bit OS may have missed out on the recent betas of Windows Live Photo Gallery which now allows you to upload images to a Flickr account directly. The Live Suite as a whole seems to be coming together quite nicely, albeit slowly. One obvious omission would be Windows Live Calendar but rumour has it that the new Calendar app itself may surface very soon.
