Harrods has unveiled a bling-tastic crystal-encrusted limited edition version of Samsung's new Galaxy Tab, available to wags, rappers and heiresses for a mere £2,699.

Last month we bought you news of an iPhone that was pimped with diamonds to the tune of $5m, ordered by an Australian businessman...in fact he ordered a pair, but Samsung believes its crystallised Galaxy Tab is the ‘world's most exclusive device'.

The rival to Apple's iPad is decked out with 5,700 Swarovski Bright Crystals, painstakingly applied by hand to the tablet.

"The crystallisation technique used has been honed to absolute perfection, with outstanding quality of workmanship which ensures every crystal is precisely positioned in its own perfect space. The Galaxy Tab logo is also elegantly recreated in Jet Hematite, producing a unique design that can be customised to individual taste," says Samsung.

The crystallised tablet (which has the same innards as it's off-the shelf rather plain counterpart) is available to buy from Harrods' Micro Anvika for £2,699.  Particularly picky customers in need of even more attention than a spangley tablet will undoubtedly snag, can opt for a customised version...which no doubt will command even more money.

Here's an image of the pimped tablet.

Harrods - Always well known for good taste
Had a quick play on a Tab on the train as an aquaintance had won one from Google. Disappointing. Screen is great, but reposniveness was very sluggish.
Thanks for the heads-up. I've put my order in before they're all snapped up.
