Marvellous way to bring down prices

Meanwhile, chipmaker Marvell has also unveiled a new platform the firm reckons should lead to faster, cheaper e-readers.

Teaming up with e-paper display company, E Ink, Marvell is apparently cobbling together an integrated application processor which should find its way into actual e-reading devices circa Q110.

The platform is based on Marvell's new Armada processor family and the first devices apparently include the already announced e-reader/netbook combo, the enTourage Edge, the Alex reader from Spring Design, and a device from Plastic Logic.

According to market research outfit, Forrester, about three million e-readers are set to fly off shelves throughout the US by the end of 2009, with sales set to double in 2010.

Fingers crossed that some of the devices coming out before Christmas might give the Kindle a bit of a festive price crunch.

Does an article this short really need to be on two separate pages?
But then you couldn't view all the ads on the page twice! :)
link to article on front page is confusing since you have a pic of a zii egg to go with it.
Yeah I don't trust or buy Creative any more especially with Vista drivers and the daniel_k incident.
After many years of poor driver support from Creative I won't use any software from them again.
