TAIPEI, TAIWAN, April 11, 2016– ASWY, Taiwanese design team and manufacturer of lifestyle products, announces today its new portable speaker series targeted for outdoor use. The new series launch with two products: Ondo Tank and enhanced Ondo Tank DX.
Ondo Tank and Tank DX are built with durability in mind that allow their use in different outdoor locations. Their body is made of industrial quality rubber and high-quality plastic that passes rigorous drop tests. In addition to Hyper Shock resistance, they have IPX 5 Water Proof standard, allowing both devices to be used close to water, as well as sand and dust protection. While the body is built to last, the look is modern and elegant, featuring minimalistic design. Both devices are equipped with a waterproof control panel to ensure smooth playback.
Ondo Tank features single twitter, 2 drivers and 2 rectangular subwoofers offering aptX quality Hi-Fi 2.2 stereo at 12W. It comes with sizeable 4400mAh battery, offering up to 14 hours playback. For the connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 4.0 allowing the speaker to be controlled by a mobile device up to 10 meters away in addition to USB and Line-IN. Ondo Tank can also be a hands-free device or a conference speaker with built-in high sensitivity microphone.
Ondo Tank DX is a superior model from the series, offering features from Ondo Tank and expanding on the sound quality. As in Ondo Tank, it comes with 2 drivers and 2 rectangular subwoofers, but increases a number of twitters to 2, giving a boost to audio output to 30W. It doubles the battery size to 8800mAh (28 hours playback), which can serve as a power bank to charge mobile devices (exclusively for DX model..) In addition, it has additional connectivity support via NFC.
The release date is set for this summer, with suggested prices of $129 / €129 for ONDO Tank and $179 / €179 for Ondo Tank DX. Both devices can be preordered from manufacturer website at www.aswyshop.com
