PRESS RELEASE

19th December 2014 - Linn is delighted to announce the seamless integration of TIDAL's new lossless music streaming service into its award-winning range of Linn DS network music players.  This new development enables all existing and new Linn DS owners to stream over 25 million tracks at CD-quality, directly through their system.

At last, Linn users are able to stream a higher-quality alternative to the mainstream MP3 quality streaming services previously available.  TIDAL has built an extensive catalogue of lossless music, highlighted by distribution agreements signed with major labels Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group. Additionally, TIDAL has been working with many independent labels to offer consumers a comprehensive catalogue that includes a vast array of genres to suit all musical preferences.

TIDAL services are accessed on Linn DS players through Linn's control app, Linn Kazoo, which is available to download free from www.linn.co.uk. In celebration of this new partnership, TIDAL and Linn are offering Linn DS owners an exclusive free 60-day trial of TIDAL, so they can try the service for themselves.

Commenting on the partnership, Pål Bråtelund, Strategic Partnership Manager HiFi of TIDAL said:

"I am extremely proud that TIDAL is now available on Linn systems. Like Linn, we at TIDAL also try our best to deliver quality without getting in the way of the true purpose - creating special music experiences. Yes, it is about great technology, but it's also for the love of music. Linn has always been an industry leader within audio, and is continuing to lead the way by integrating our lossless music streaming service. Christmas comes early this year to music lovers."

Gilad Tiefenbrun, Managing Director at Linn said:

"Linn has taken a pivotal role in establishing the market for high resolution music by making our recordings available to download at 24-bit Studio Master quality through linnrecords.com and offering playback of these through our world-leading Linn DS players. We are delighted to be working closely with TIDAL who share this strong commitment to delivering high quality music by making their lossless streaming service available to our customers in a seamless way for the first time."

About LINN

Linn designs and makes the best music systems in the world. Based in Scotland and established in 1973, Linn manufactures everything in-house, from the legendary Sondek LP12 turntable to its industry-leading digital music players and loudspeakers found in homes around the world.

Linn is committed to enriching people's lives through better sounding music - a pursuit which began in the 1970s with the development of its precision-engineered Sondek LP12. This revolutionary product was designed to get more music out of a record. Not only did the Sondek LP12 improve sound quality, it turned the hi-fi industry on its head by proving once and for all that the source of music is the most important link in the chain.

Linn's pursuit of the most faithful reproduction continued and in 2007 it revolutionised digital playback as it had done for analogue all those years before.  Linn launched the world's first music site offering DRM-free 24-bit Studio Master downloads - www.linnrecords.com. This was quickly followed by the company's first network music player, the Linn Klimax DS, which delivered a massive step-change in the quality of digital music playback in the home.

The iconic Sondek LP12 turntable continues to set the standard for vinyl playback and the latest Linn DS network music players out-perform any CD or network music player available.

Linn systems are sold through a worldwide network of specialist retailers who also share our passion for providing high quality music solutions in the home. Linn was awarded a Royal Warrant in 2002 as suppliers of entertainment systems to the Royal Household, and received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation in 2012.
