PRESS RELEASE

Hong Kong - WOOX Innovations today announced that its Philips-branded sound and connected entertainment products have been recognized with eight prestigious iF product design awards in 2014. Reflecting the company's focus on great sound quality, advanced connectivity and sophisticated design, the winners include headphones, portable wireless speakers, a home cinema sound system, a wireless HD home monitor and a portable DJ mixing desk and sound system co-developed with top DJ Armin van Buuren.

"From concept to manufacture, our diverse and international team of over 50 creative professionals works to balance the practical with the conceptual. The result is a range of products that achieve the right balance between form and function," said Raymond Wong, Chief Design Officer, WOOX Innovations. "This year, half of our award-winning products are from our Fidelio range of premium sound products. We launched our first Fidelio product in 2010 and since then we've built a range that embodies our passion for sound and design."

For more than 60 years, the iF design awards have recognized outstanding achievements in design. The iF design awards have secured a leading international reputation and are among the largest and most important international design awards. Each year, the iF seal of quality is awarded to excellent design in three disciplines: product, communication and packaging design.

The winning products are:

The loud, small and sharply designed Philips BR-1X (SB5200K/10) portable speaker has both outdoor and indoor modes. Its rugged interchangeable silicone jacket and ability to daisy chain with other devices makes it very flexible.
