The latest in LG's leading OLED Technology launches this week
UK, 25th September 2013 - LG Electronics (LG) announces today the UK arrival of its stunning new 55" LG "Curved" OLED TV, the 55EA980W . Available from today, consumers will be able to purchase LG's latest OLED innovation from selected retailers across the country as LG continues to pioneer this exciting, premium screen technology. This follows the launch of LG's original screen 55" OLED showcased earlier in the year, making LG the first brand to bring Large Screen OLED technology to the UK.

LG's ground-breaking Curved OLED TV (55EA980W) was the first of its kind when previewed at the 2013 International CES in Las Vegas and features LG's unique ‘WRGB' (4-colour pixel) technology, a staggeringly thin display (just 4.5mm), a dramatic Curved design and a vivid picture quality that is practically indiscernible from colours found in nature. LG's Curved OLED TV truly represents the future of TV and is the culmination of years of research and development, with LG committed to continued investment in this technology.

The unique new LG 55EA980W model features the industry's very first curved screen ergonomic design with full CINEMA 3D and Smart TV support. With a gentle inward flex, the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer's eyes, removing the problem of screen-edge visual distortion and detail loss.
The model's distinctive design has been recognised by the European Commission's EU Ecolabel. This label certifies that a product has been manufactured without negatively impacting the environment.
LG's Curved OLED also won the prestigious Red Dot design award at the 2013 EISA awards.
The LG Curved OLED 55EA980W will officially launch this week and will be available for £7,999,
