Highly Portable

The TwinhanDTV Alpha is an external USB terrestrial mini TV Box. It receives power over USB, so no external power supply is required. In addition, the mini TV USB Box weighs only 60 grams making it very easy for travellers to carry all over the world.

HDTV Reception

With more countries starting to broadcast HDTV signals, it has now become an essential feature of TV tuners when customers make their buying decisions. The TwinhanDTV Alpha allows users to watch HDTV programmes on their PC monitors, meaning that expensive digital TV sets are not the only option now for superb video quality.

Wake Up Recording

The “Wake Up recording” function helps to save power and will wake the system up 3 minutes before the programme to be recorded starts. Users just need to key in the schedule recording information on the “Record Schedule” page, and then put the computer into Sleep mode by clicking the “Z’Z” (hibernate) button on the screen control panel.

Direct DVD Burning

The software allows users to record the programme being watched directly onto DVD. Just enable “Record to DVD Burner” in the recording setup page, ensure the DVD burner is running and press the “Record” button. When the programme ends, the DVD burning finishes.

Multiple Frame Capture

Sometimes users want to capture and save a series of images from a golf or football match on TV. Instead of getting a snapshot of a single picture only, the new “Multiple Frame Capture” feature in the TwinhanDTV V 2.6 software can capture 10 frames or more and as frequently as required. The captured pictures will be saved to the default Capture Path.

Parental Control Password

This feature provides parents with an efficient and easy way to control their children’s access to particular TV programmes. In the “System Settings”, users can set up a “Parental Control Password” for selected channels and ensure that these can only be viewed by entering the correct password. The setting can later be cancelled by entering the password and selecting “Cancel”.

Antenna Tuning Utility

Sometimes it is difficult to determine the signal strength when adjusting the mobile antenna. By clicking the “Signal Quality” or “Signal Strength” icons on the control menu, the “Utility” window pops up and shows real time indications of the quality and strength of signals at the selected frequency. Note that the frequency should be “Locked” before the antenna is adjusted.
