HP unveils its Windows 7 collection

The TouchSmart  9100 is the business manifestation of HP's latest Windows 7 efforts. It's a 23 inch notebook with some funky software, including videoconferencing capabilities and some commercial touch-screen applications.

The last of the touch-screen collection is a 42 inch piece of digital signage kit called the HP LD4200tm, designed for indoor environments like retail, airports, hotels, etc. It has infrared technology to allow multitouch interaction and is designed to run 24/7.

Here are the prices and availability. Where they're only in dollars, it's because we don't yet have UK details. We've included the dollar price regardless, where we have it, so you can see the UK premium being paid:

  • The HP TouchSmart 300 starts at £899.99 ($899) and is available 1 November
  • The HP TouchSmart 600 starts at £1199.99 ($1,049) and is available 22 October
  • The HP TouchSmart tx2 starts at £799 ($799) and is available 22 October
  • The HP dv3 starts at £799 and is available 22 October
  • The HP TouchSmart 9100 starts at $1,299 and is expected to be available in December.
  • The HP LD4200tm 42-inch widescreen LCD monitor starts at $2,799 and is expected to be available in December.
