Hong Kong VGA and mainboard outfit ZOTAC has taken the bold step of extending the warranty on all its graphics cards and mobos from two to five years.
To claim the extention, punters need to register directly with ZOTAC within two weeks of purchase. Not only does this spare the retailer from having to do anything to capitalise on this offer but, as the warranty requires customers to return the card straight to ZOTAC, it removes hassle to the channel on returns too.
Julie Darrington, purchasing director at Realtime said: ‘This extended warranty to 5 years from ZOTAC gives our customers a great opportunity to add value to their graphics cards sales, at no extra cost to themselves.’
