Lenovo Appoints New Western Europe General Manager

Hook, UK - April 1, 2011: Lenovo is delighted to announce the appointment of Francois Bornibus as Vice President & General Manager Lenovo Western Europe reporting to Milko van Duijl, President Mature Markets Group.  The appointment is effective immediately and Francois will work out of the Paris office.

This new position further enhances Lenovo's end-to-end integration and strengthens the Western Europe organisation. Reinforcing the management team will support Lenovo's aspirations across the region and the additional focus will drive business excellence in all segments of the market.

Francois brings a wealth of industry experience to Lenovo. Previously, Francois has held senior roles within global companies. Most recently he was Vice President and General Manager of Nokia France and BeNeLux where he drove the transformation from device focus to solution focus resulting in above market growth for the company. Prior to Nokia, Francois held senior management positions within Palm, HP and Compaq.

Francois' extensive experience and track record will help drive our business forward, and build on the successes we have had in consumer, SMB and enterprise markets."

Francois holds an engineering degree in Electronics from the Ecole National Superieure d'Electronique et des Microtechniques and an MBA from the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises.
