I bought 1500 quid of components from SCAN and was greatly disappointed to discover that the motherboard they had sent wasn't quite the one they were advertising. It was the same mobo, but a lite version without all the cabling+backing plates etc. This lite version has a subtly different part number, and their website had the part number of the full version.
Anyway they accepted back the part and because I'd paid a premium for sat delivery returned some of the postage to me to allow me to purchase elsewhere. Alternatively they had offered me a 15 pound discount on the part if I wished to keep it. Top notch service.
I then went to buy the part at OCUK and the exact same thing happened despite confirming which version they would send on the phone. The contrast in customer support was massive. Suffice to say, I'll be buying from scan in future, not the other co.
