laptop purchased from ebuyer for £614.42 plus VAT in bundle deal with 20G MP3 player (retail £180 + VAT) for £1 plus VAT. Items delayed for starters. MP3 player broke. Ebuyer offered refund of £1 + VAT. Ebuyer refused manufacturer repair despite statement in T&Cs stating I was entitled to one. Customer service very rude. Wrote to directors, no response stating intention of small claims action. Filed small claims action for £180 + VAT + costs. Sudden response of offer of equivalent MP3 player. Held fast and they settled for full claim. |
