Placed order 18th Oct - money transferred 19th October.
No response to 'phone messages or contacts via website.
First response on 3rd November saying site had been taken down and my goods were on back order - also lied about their terms and conditions, which I had thankfully copied to my HDD along with most of the site pages before they removed them.
I cancelled the order and requested a refund by return email the same day. They kindly responded on the 6th November and informed me my order had not been processed as I had keyed in an incorrect order reference number.
Essentially, my "back order " was a fiction as the order had not been processed and therefore I was actually within the seven day cooling off period.
I finally received a cheque, dated 15th Nov '06 sent first class postmarked 16th Nov '06, which arrived Monday 20th Nov. Today I received an email to inform me they have gone into receivership and "All the major authorities are aware of this (OFT, Police, Trading Standards)..."
I have submitted details to Consumer Direct Complaints and intend to pursue this matter under all the relevant laws until I receive satisfaction.
