My first invoice with Scan goes back to 1998 and I've bought everything from cables to CD writers when they were more than £200 each! Despite being a techie, I can't keep up to date with all the latest hardware, but their sales staff know their onions and make sure everything matches. When the odd hiccup does happen, they're quick off the mark to put it right at their own expense. I've dealt with suppliers both mail order and on the street, and it doesn't get any better than Scan. Today, they proved yet again why the majority of my computing shopping is done with them. Top marks. |

I only buy Dell when the price is a strong factor. The kit isn't outstanding, and I was given the hard sell three times to buy an extended warantee with the most recent laptop purchase. Not happy about the after sales pressure. Average performing kit, at reasonable prices. Thought the twenty odd quid for a floppy drive in a desktop was over the odds, so though I'd fit my own at a fiver ... no chance as they removed/didn't include the floppy mounting bracket!!! A number of heated discussions ensued, and they relented in the end. Be careful about the warantee adding serious money on to the purchase price on the web site. |
