I have rated this as average for one main reason : Contacting the company!
I brought a Hiper type R 580W PSU blue from Thecoolingshop.com about 6 weeks ago. Everything was fine, they were reasonable on price, the shipping was fine and on time. The problem came when I when to turn on my pc and the PSU went bang, I had no way of contacting them. The only way they give is through E-mail on their site, and thats a bit hard to do when you have no power to your pc!
So i rang Hiper to see if they could help and they did. The guy at Hiper explain their warranty is for 3 years but for the first year it has to go through the company i brought it from. So i explained the problem, he told me that the cooling shop is not a direct customer so they didn't have a number, but he said " Give me your number and I'll see what i can find out for you". An hour later he called me back telling me the the cooling shop had be taken over by JLT and gave me a couple of their numbers.
So i call the numbers, get through to JLT who tell me "yes we now own thecoolingshop but we can't help you, you need to speak to a guy called Chris his number is....". So i called chris who says he doeswork for them he works for tekheads. At this point i'm get a bit miffed:mad: . Anyway Chris solves the promblem by using his pc to gain a RMA number for me and confrims the address i have for cooling shop.
Right so the number at the top of this page is wrong. The number for the new owners of TheCoolingShop.com is JLT and their number is: 0870 2255558
It seems really stupid to me that a customer has to go through this much trouble to get in contact with a company. An e-mail address is all fair and well if you have a dam pc to use it with. They should have the number put on their sales invoice so at least the people who buy things from them can contact them if some thing has gone wrong.
