Microdirect is one of those companies like Overclockers.co.uk where everything seems fine with the company until something goes wrong. Their prices and stock attracted me to their website and I ordered £500-worth of various bits at 9am on Thursday. It was a bank holiday that weekend and I thought it would be nice to build everything over the weekend, so I went for the expensive \"pre-noon next day guaranteed\" delivery option. Naturally, it never turned up on Friday. I spent the entire afternoon trying to get through to someone at Mircodirect to get a courier tracking number for my order, since they don\'t automatically send the number out via e-mail or list it in your order history online. Finally at around 4pm I got through to their sales number (the customer service number obviously wasn\'t being manned by anybody) and got the tracking number. I phoned up the courier firm and they didn\'t pick up all afternoon either. Finally on Tuesday the next week, I manage to get ahold of someone at the courier company and it turns out that the incompetent delivery driver couldn\'t find my company\'s main office. The parcel finally gets delivered that day. I can understand that sometimes courier firms can be a little unreliable but the fact that it took so much effort to speak to someone at Microdirect is unforgivable. Avoid. |

Bought a DVD burner off dabs.com after not using them in a couple of years. Ordered Saturday, came Monday. Top stuff. Good price too. |

Excellent prices, fantastic and informative website and very fast (and free!) delivery. Superb. Had to RMA some RAM that died. Thought it might be a nightmare to sort out but Crucial were exceptional. Lifetime warranty, freephone returns line and very speedy turnaround (sent off RAM Wednesday, got replacement Saturday morning). I wouldn\'t buy my RAM from anyone else. |

Usually unbeatable on price but slow delivery and dubious customer service is a letdown |

Bought a Gainward GeForce 4 Ti4600 from them around August 2002. Overclockers had decided to stop stocking the Gainward cards but did not keep their website up to date or inform me when I ordered a card from them. Instead they sent me a different brand of card and charged me for the Gainward one (which was more expensive). Luckily I managed to return the card, get a refund and order from elsewhere. |

I used Insight whilst working for a large company. Website is very poor and searching for what you want is virtually impossible. Although they list a lot of products, there\'s no information given on most and they are rarely in stock. The worst part was when we needed some RAM. They didn\'t have any in stock so they stole some RAM out of someone else\'s order! After that, I decided that using Insight for personal use probably wasn\'t a good idea. |

Decent prices and fast deliver makes Komplett a decent place to shop. Only downside is the high shipping fees. |
