MicroDirect is my local computer store, and have such, have been shopping with them for over four years now.
My early experiences weren't great, I had a gfx card & mobo compatibility problem, and at first, they were reluctant to exchange, but a call to trading standards soon put pay to that problem.
In recent years however, they have been excellent. Always carrying a good range of products, at excellent prices (even better with student discount, or a trade account ;)), and are always well stocked.
I've not had to return anything to them in over three years now. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Great, my products all still work, but it means I've not had a chance to test their RMAing service.
As it's my local store, I really couldn't comment on shipping, nor could I care much for the web site. I use it to occassionally find stuff when my (conveniently emailed) trade list isn't to hand, and find it easy to navigate.
Unfortuantely - and despite generally knowing nothing about computers - the guys at the counters in there are so far up their own arses, they're in danger of choking themselves, but the guys at collection are always friendly and polite, and are a pleasure to do business with.
Long may the good service continue.
