In the four years that I have known of OcUK I have bought from them a countless number of times and I have never been disappointed. The speed which orders are processed and dispatched is simply outstanding and their customer service faultless. Many other companies need to \"go back to the drawing board\" if OcUK can keep prices very competitively whilst providing an exemplary service. |

They're prices are normally the cheapest anywhere in the UK, like for like. I've bought a few items from OcUK, always been good service and arrived within 2 working days. Only problem i had was the courier delivering to the wrong company, who had a similar name to the place i was working, but this wasn't OcUKs fault. Never had to RMA anything so i can't comment on that. Would definately use them again! |

Made 3 orders with ocuk over a few years all quite large. The 1st was a motherboard/cpu/cooler combo, a case and some other smaller bits, delivery took weeks but the goods arrived fine (finally). Order number 2 was 2x40gig hdds, coolermaster hdd coolers, rounded cables and a ata raid card, totaling at the time nearly 500pounds, the hdds where then out of stock (dispite saying instock on the site), I had to ring to find this out, I was then billed TWICE for the kit! Which was not good as I was using my aunties credit card! In fairness when I rung them they sorted it quickly and I eventually got my kit when it was back in, the last order was a p4, psu and some other bits on bobs for a friend, again the psu went out of stock even tho it was in on the website, after being told it would b in the next day for 3 days in a row, I was then told the psu in question had been recalled by the manufacturer due to faults. I cancelled the order and rung round 3 other stores who said they had heard of no such fault, I ordered from overclock I think and it all arrived the next day. Not alot else I can add I think this say it all :P |

Bought a Gainward GeForce 4 Ti4600 from them around August 2002. Overclockers had decided to stop stocking the Gainward cards but did not keep their website up to date or inform me when I ordered a card from them. Instead they sent me a different brand of card and charged me for the Gainward one (which was more expensive). Luckily I managed to return the card, get a refund and order from elsewhere. |

(I've been building PCs since 1991/1992 and I would say my knowledge is extensive to say the least.) I have a lot of good things to say about Overclockers.co.uk and I have been ordering from them (and only them) since 2001. Their small team of technical support people are relatively (versus their competitors) easy to get through to and they generally know their stuff. They have a nice product range and are open to new product suggestions. Their prices are also some of the cheapest online in the UK. They honour their warranties (my Dad had a compact flash card replaced, I had some RAM recently refunded after buying some different spec stuff instead). I did have one extremely annoying experience with them however - after having problems with a motherboard in Auguest 2003 they recommended sending it back for testing. I did so, but it took them 30 days to send the board back to me. On their web site it says that their return turnaround is 7 to 10 days but "they'll do their best to reduce this". I think this is a sick joke. What made this worse was that I was constantly lied to on the phone with such claims as "we haven't got it" (Parcelforce had a signature on their tracking web site of one R. Dolman who works for them) and "we're looking at it now and it'll be with you by the end of the week" (it took a further 15 days). Those were the more brazen lies. The motherboard came back to me and I was told it had tested fine. Indeed it was ok and the next bios release from the manufacturer fixed my issue with it. I believe Overclocker's reasoning for hanging on to the board so long was to prevent the possibility that I would want to get it refunded. What bugs me is that when you put several 1000s of pounds through their company over 2 years you expect a bit more honesty and prompt service.... or at least better liars. I have ordered from them since but only because of their prices. If I have another unpleasant experience with them they will lose a long time customer. |

wanted advice on buying various components. Was treated like an idiot by the child who answered the phone. asked about returns policies and was laughed at with the statement 'our stuff never goes wrong'.. yeah right... I didn't do commercial electronics for years oblivious to things breaking.... was so put off by the poor attitude that I decided not to buy.
