Cheers, I'll add them. Should be updated in 2 mins.
Hehe, I distinctly remembering someone saying that this is exactly what'd happen… retailers not dropping the price of the console but doing better bundle deals.
Oh hang on… it was me! :P
But looking at the deals, I'd say that Sony have dropped the trade price but not the RRP, allowing retailers to do a deal without eating into their margins.
It's worth noting that an HDMI cable can be picked up quite cheaply and it's not even worth considering if you don't have HDMI on your panel… seems obvious I know but you wouldn't believe some of the numptys I've heard in places like Comet trying to sell HDMI cables as standard…
I know this is unrelated but the 360 premium is £199 with COD3 at Toys'r'Us at the moment - probably means the trade price of the 360 has dropped as well?
Steven some of your prices are incorrect. Amazon & Game you state £429.99 when they are £424.97/99. Also InterElectronics price doesn't include Vat, so bringing the cost up to £428.63 which is not a great bundle compared to the Play & Amazon bundles.
In fact the Game deal is also pretty useless compared to what other retailers are adding at the same price point.
Got a PS3 with 3 games, extra Sixaxis controller, HDMI cable, Sony Blu-ray remote and a Blu-ray DVD for £431.78
Best deal is Amazon.co.uk, even more so if you sign up for a master card (£15 added to account) and DVD rental (£10 added to account)
You need to order the 3 game deal as one order, then two more seperate orders as you can only redeem one promotional offer per order
Not a bad price at all - I flinched on the buy button then…
