Oh dear. Scan have some stupid prices on their site… They are superb on some things, but awful on memory.

Plus, I have to whine about Hexus' choice of memory kits. Some people are reporting superb performance from the latest Crucial Ballistix kits for example. I know you wanted to show a variety of different speeds, but comparing 800Mhz modules from one firm to uber-memory (with matching price) by Corsair is only going to produce one result.

A better review would have compared PC8500 2 gig kits, because they seem to be very very popular and are at the best price (ie anything above is usually lots more expensive).

Still, I'm always happy to read any Hexus review, so thanks for that :)

Nice write up :)

Would have liked to see your P5K put to the test, and also some ballistix thrown in there to give those dominators a good seeing to.

Just had memoryc turn round an RMA on cellshock in 6days.

your comment re cellshock implying a long rma turnaround by returning to germany is flawed. If returning to manufacturer for both ocz & g-skill that means holland i think if Uk based, can't see that been any different to germany.

as clunk says pity you missed what are the enthusiasts favourite in terms of performance & value the 8500 ballistix/tracer
