So here's the thing, I have a £20 Raijintek Themis cooler (with 2 Corsair SP120 fans in push/pull) on a 4690K overclocked to 4.6Ghz, it idles at 30c and never, ever goes above 65c in even the most stressful gaming session and in CPU stress tests such as the Asus Realbench and Aida64 the highest I've seen it go to is 74c.

So why would I need to spend £100 on one of these when my £20 budget cooler always keeps the CPU within its thermal limits?

Any comparison with, oh y'know, existing liquid coolers?
I know the Noctua is a good benchmark but what I needed to know is whether this is fundamentally “better” than the older H110 which I'm considering for my next upgrade
I'd rather avoid anything Corsair Link after putting my friend's H100i cooled PC together and us both quickly agreeing that it just didn't feel as useful as it should be compared to the ROG AI suite that we're used to

Are there any AOI cooler that don't have loud pumps?

I know right? Seems dumb not to compare them with other AOI liquid coolers. guru3d did a review which compares it with a few other AOI liquid coolers if you want to check their review out. They also say it's not as loud as what Hexus is reporting.

i was hoping to see this compared to H100i and if it has been improved or not.

I got the a free MSI Dragon 120mm water cooler from Scan with a promotion on buying an MSI MPower motherboard. Thought I'd run it for a month and replace with a “proper cooler”. Needless to say, I'm still using the free cooler, and had no problems at all. And no, I don't overclock…

Those of us who lost everything in the silicon lottery. I'm here with an i5 4670K that needs 1.35V to get up to 4.4GHz. We need higher end coolers (not neccessarily expensive watercoolers though)

Think this is a bit of fail from Corsair

Seems to fail on both ends of the spectrum to the point of buying into water cooling.

Quietness - well this is more noisy than a good fan based CPU cooler, silent or default mode (and performs worse)

Cooling - Again - is worse than an good fan based cooler and is louder at trying to achieve..

Franky - there are no pro's to this kit

It is important to note that Corsair Link is a significant fail for a piece of software. Not only is it in beta for over two years but Windows compatibility is spotty and the software itself is still buggy with not only Corsair's own hardware (be it coolers, fans, cases, etc) but also when monitoring other manufacturer's hardware. And their forums aren't particularly excellent, support wise.

The review expresses a desire for a compatibility chart from Corsair showing which coolers fit in which cases. I don't think they have one single chart that lays it all out, but the Tech Specs tab on the page for each of their cases has a section that lists which Corsair coolers will fit in that case.

Apparently these have been recalled by Corsair due to the fact they can leak at -10°C

Hi Guys

I have had information from Corsair this morning that they are issuing a product recall on their new Hydro H110i GT CPU Cooler.

The reason for the recall is for something that is a fairly unlikely scenario, if the unit goes below -10'C then it will leak.

All of our stock has been removed from sale, I would urge any customer who has purchased these products to contact our returns team so that we can assist you.

Any questions, just post in here and I will do my best to help.

Rich

UPDATE FROM CORSAIR:
The H110i GT is only a channel recall any units sold to end-user that are fine out of the box wont be affected

Any OcUK customers wishing to have a refund on the product anyway, may do so as you will be within your 14 day Satisfaction period anyway.

Still rocking my H60 on a 3570k @4.5Ghz
40c idle, 65c when running Prime 95 for an hour.

The H60's about 3 years old but still no real reason to splurge on a double rad setup :-/
