Gratuitously violent no-brainer shoot-em-up with ‘cult’ film tie-in and exploding bodies. I mean…what's not to like? :)

I doubt it will stay with me as long as the c64 version has…..I can even remember using 2 joysticks when in the helicopter, if you pushed the second joystick in the opposite direction to the first, the heli would fly really fast :)

Ohhh, the memories……..

I'm going to (with much guilt) admit to enjoying the first one quite a bit. The second did nothing for me - only use I've got for it was as a basis for Hot Shots 2 (a much better film imho). The third, well, better than the second is my potted review.

Funnily enough, for some reason I bought the novel-of-the-film for the third one, and it makes a lot more sense, it's actually a reasonable train/bus/plane read.

Boy, have my standards gone downhill!

PS, if there's a decent discount deal on the game then I might give it a go. But I DEFINITELY want the Weird Al pastiche available as DLC! :D

The first film is a good film and is not really an out and out action film anyway. The ones after that though went a bit mad though.

Does look kinda poor… At 1:13 I'm pretty sure that helicopter goes through the ground on its left side. A glitch isn't something you really want in a trailer. As a 2014 release surely they could have done a bit better with some of the graphics as well.

The gun scenes look pretty nice, but the character graphics are ~~bad.
