I was please to see a Hexus review of this case as I have been considering buying one for a few weeks and like the style of your reviews. The review gives plenty of information (and nice pictures) on the case layout and installation however seeing as the focus of the design was acoustic performance it would have been nice to see some analysis of this even if it was purely qualitative. It would also be good to see some more about the inculded power supply and cable management (modular) system.
Generally though another quality Hexus review.

The problem with acoustic performance is exactly as you say, short of having DB readings how exactly do you quantify it. I will be doing a long overdue review of the P180 to see how it fairs against its newer companion and i will see what i can do about doing some sort of acoustic comparison to that.
As regards the power supply, that is an entirely different item to review and I will be trying to see if I can get a review done of that separately, be it on its own or part of a group test (seeing as the P150 is the only case it ships with, but the PSU itself is also sold separately.)

great review. hope it's ok to plug another site but if you're interested and have the patience to read through all the detail, silentpcreview.com have very detailed reviews of the P150 and P180, especially with regards noise (obviously). They also review the PSUs separately and have updated the reviews for the latest Antec improvements to the cases. NB, the P150 is available in black with no PSU, marketed as the SOLO.

Good review and a valid point about the price versus fittings.
Personally I think it`s overpriced even with the Antec psu in, but there again I`ve had bad dealings with Antec psus. It`s not terrifically stylish or with much difference to many other cases on the market.
So many other good or better cases on the market at or below that price.
Hmm the idea of separating components out in the way they have is a nice idea, its just a shame it doesn't work well in practice. They'll need to look into this further with PSU and motherboard manufacturers if this is going to work I guess. This said I suppose the ATX spec limits the location of the 20/4 pin connectors etc. to some extent.
I like the idea of keeping the PSU away from the other components; at the moment running the Hiper Type-R, it adds quite a bit of heat to the top area of my case.
For those of you who are looking for a really silent PC, the P180 is the only thing you should buy. For those who are going to stick in it massive, heat producing components, then it probably isn't. What the P180 does allow is exceptional airflow, currently the best air-cooled case on the market (and hence it excells in the silent department as you need very few fans at all).
ahh nice review -told me what I wanted to know. I had high hopes for this but it looks like its the p150 for me at the moment. I like the idea of having the PSU at the bottom, visually it opens up the space at the top of the mobo. I hope future cases will do this well.
Its a shame that the p150 comes with a PSU - I don't think 430W is enough.

It was more than capable of running the kit I tested the chassis with - and thats far from low end kit.

Just a quick Q on tight fit of the GFX card and the 6pin power cable. Would that cause any damage to the card over a period of time, if you take for instance that you wouldn't move the case about much?

no not at all - i would be fine - our example was also with a modular connector - there would also be a bit more room if a standard adapter was used for example.
Its tight - but it will survive…
