i was actually thinking its a refreshing change to see a nice case WITHOUT a window!!!

dont know what all the hoohaa is about wanting to show off the insides of your case.. mine just looks like the cyclone on a dyson most of the time anyhow!!!

no.. really like this case.. and it will be included on my new pc spec. :)

I prefer cases without windows as standard so that modders can do custom ones and therefore there is a slim chance all of the cases won't look identical :)

I got this case. It's really good.

Yeh i agree with Gordy on that… but we could have 2 ranges… Wavemaster and a Wavemaster with window. (bit like the 201 range… 201, 201B. WavemasterB)

think ya could make that picture a bit bigger Rory? ;) Tidy ya room ya messy bugger and give me that case and audigy2 :p

Yeb nice review guys:)

Decided to get one of these when I first saw a pic, but that review did finaly give me the kick up the arse I needed to actually place an order lol.

I'm fed up with looking at the dust inside my modded CM at the mo and I'm far too busy (Lazy) to keep it clean so no more window kits for me:D

Damn I had to edit this twice already, me spelins attrocious ;)

If you want a Cooler Master window panel for the Wavemaster, try this

Hexus's Review of this is much better than the one in CustomPC. Its a really nice, and I might be buying one for my next build!

Great review guys! :)

This is to Crag Ball, the guy who reviewed the case. Were you able to keep the case?
Posted by DR - Thu 25 Sep 2003 12:33
It is still in the HEXUS labs yes…

You mean it says good things about it rather than bad things :D
BTW the door doesnt close properly it just makes a bonk sound and flys open again if you swing it shut :p

I can cofirm this. The AMD FX-51 press kit was housed in one. The door is damn annoying. I've almost broken it by lugging it around. Just don't tell AMD that :P

What DVD drive did you use in this pic? Where can I get one?

Review was well done, but these things are as subjective as you can get. Showing the objective parts of the case int he first few pages then having several reviewers write their own subjective take on it might be a better way to do things.

I seem to have a minority opinion on what constitues a good case, or a good value with a case. I am definatly a function over form type guy.

I used to have a coolermaster preatorian, wich is nearly identical to the wave master, except for the front panel. I found the case rather cramped, esp when dealing with long video cards and multiple hardrives. The wiring for the front/top fans and some of the motherboard connectors could also have been better. I also would have liked a tooless mounting system for some of the components. I also think the going price is rather steep for what this case is. The asthetics are not bad, but the usability/durability just is not there for me. Even with a removeable motherboard tray, it's not really convient to tinker/work on a system while it is in these cases. The feet and very functional (keep fingers and stuff out, whiel not inhibiting air flow) fan grills are the most redeeming features in my opinion, but they aren't worth the cost to me.

Its not a DVD drive, its the Coolermaster Cool Drive 3 Hard Drive cooler.
