With Conroe having been launched this is somewhat less appealing - cost of CPU and mainboard?

Indeed, but the cost of the board - is more than a 975, and the CPU is more too….

This motherboard might be awesome.

But the included cooler goes crazy, nearly 5500rpm and never below 60 degrees. And as you can guess :P It sounds like a STORM in here.

And worst of all. Installing Windows XP SP2, freeze up the machine upon boot. Running stable here on SP1 now. Took me 2 days to find out why it frooze up :)
