Hey guys have I won one of these G-Skill 16gb kits yet!! It would make this old man get all excited and have another Heart Attack that would be AWESOME!!!! LOL No NO not the Heart Attack the G-Skill kit would be awesome in my new AMD build Im planning!!! Im a G-Skill fan so yeah it would be cool to have a chance to score in this Giveaway! Just to be able to toss that kit in a new motherboard and test it out right away see how it does stock right out of the box, then after get a couple miles on it then get serious and play some more! I was actually referring to the fact you seem to post multiple times in competition threads about how desperately you want to win the item, twice in this thread alone.

“Wow, this is excellent memory”…is what i would say if the prize had arrived…. I sent an email last Friday but have yet to hear back. Can only assume that direct from manufacturer means from Asia and they are delivering by foot……

Thanks for the reply… The reason why I am vocal is because of the following from the competition.“closing date, July 5, 2013” and the email advising that the items would be shipped ASAP…….. Taking into consideration that from the close of the competition to this post is almost 8 weeks, and nearly 5 weeks since I replied to the mail advising of the win……. Plus the fact that I emailed last Friday and got no response………

Well what can I say about the competition and the Prize….
The Ram arrived on Monday by Courier. I have installed the ram in a gaming machine, the machine is a reasonable spec (i7 2700k, gtx660 vertex 4 hdd) Before installing the memory I reset the machine to a standard configuration (no overclock) and run Performance test 7. The system gave a base score of 4020 overall. After installing the ram I re-run the test and the increase in score was quite impressive at 4482. I was expecting some increase in the score but not as much as the 10% that it gave. Yesterday I played around with the configuration of the ram and tried a little overclock, the results were good. The ram sat comfortably at 1866 Mhz with the CPU at 4.8Ghz. I had a lag problem in Star Trek online, when being attacked with plasma torpedos, the system would produce a small amount of lag trying to render the graphics of the explosion. However this ram has made a difference. I still get lag rendering however it is reduced significantly. So I am very pleased with the performance and will enjoy a slightly faster computer.
