makes the idea of an AMD Jaguar APU powered Win8 tablet/notebook look pretty tempting.

The AMD AppZone player isn't working for me. My Radeon X1600 Pro GPU may be a bit past it… Or it doesn't like the old Pentium Dual Core… :(

It works fine for me but you're not missing out on anything. It's a rather pointless exercise of download - install - uninstall. Even the scroll-bars don't work properly (you have to scroll with a mouse-wheel and can't click and drag), clicking on items starts the download process instead of showing more info on it (can't even make out if certain apps are free or not, only a handful are marked with a “free” sticker),… maybe I'm “using it wrong” but I'll leave that to Mac users to explore :P LOL

“designed and optimised for Radeon OpenGL drivers twinned with AMD GPU and APU ”
The gpu is old, but it is definatly the cpu that let you down, needs those new APUs.

looks interesting though, especially since windows 8 will slowly move computing to be touch screen based

I bet MicroSoft are delighted about this. This could be a real win for AMD though, as touch PCs become more popular.
