The external storage thing is a massive bonus, I reckon this could really work in their favour, considering you can pick up a 3tb drive for around a ton.

It's not going to sell out like the Wii did.
The xbox 360 and PS3 are cheaper.

3TB of shovelware? I really can't get my head around how having a screen on your controller while playing on a TV is going to be anything but a novelty/distraction. Most of the Wii market is going to be alienated.
There really isn't the same buzz about this as the original Wii. Very much on the maybe list, definitely have to read up on it a bit more, check out some reviews on launch and try one out before committing. Maybe I should just get another controller/Move and some more family friendly games for the PS3 instead - didn't impress a female friend who had some time to kill in my flat and all I could offer was one player shooting or stabbing people…

Seems a bit expensive for a console, which has hardly any pre-installed storage. Even for a 8th gen console, it's a bit overpriced.

The original Wii was in short supply for quite some time and prices were +£100 on ebay - I remember the fun in trying to buy one - but patience paid off as a single Wii unit came into an Argos store at normal price and I raced over to get it. I checked some website daily to see if one became available.
If Nintendo play this game again it will be worth re-selling. I bought mine in cash so that if I didnt like it I would sell it on so that the next person had some kind of warrantee - but I ended up keeping it.
By all means I don't intend to buy any to sell, was more a reference from somebody who is sick of the touting.
As it is I had a go on a Wiiu yesterday, it was good but nothing amazing.
