I've always loved MSI kit, but it seems like they've now made a motherboard ESPECIALLY FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Little over the top with the Android App, but the idea of a motherboard with some LED's that are not power whelming is nice.

I quiet like that, lights and stuff don't interest me too much but customisable RGB lights on the motherboard could be rather striking. I hope they add them to there next series of mini ITX boards.

I don't have an android device, so I guess that makes the most interesting feature completely redundant for me. Why not have an app that lets you control it from within Windows?

I'd like to see the lighting filter down to their cheaper boards too. I can't imaging ever having a need for an an X99 mobo.

I still find it hard to believe that they build a high end mobo, bling it the ends of the earth but don't use a right angled 20+4p connector !

The name would stop me from buying it, they must really love themselves.

Never had a problem with any MSI kit myself…

I'd expect that to be controlled from within the BIOS or something as standard, with the Andy app as an optional extra.

To me that just comes across as a really poor design decision, not everyone will have or want an Android device that they could use to control the mobo lighting, if the controllable lighting is a key selling point on this product then they should make so that all that buy it can have full access to the controls, even a simple IR remote control incuded with the contents would be enough to do that, but unless I fell asleep during that moment in the video, this doesn't seem to be the case.

*** edit *** I just watched the video again and he does mention that the app is IOS and Android, but I would still prefer a simple dedicated remote to an app, that way I want have to take my iPad from my wife or kids just to change the colour settings.

I can't get sound here at work - Does he seriously not say anything about being able to do it in normal BIOS/OS?

If not, then that is truly stupid and I am kinda disappointed…

I find it outstanding when folks get bent up on such negativity! But I am glad you cared to watch the clip again to correct your earlier error…

I CBA to re-watch the clip, at least not until I'm somewhere with sound… But regardless, I'd happily buy an El Cheapo Andy device off The Bay and link it to my home Router-LAN-thing just for this.

If MSI happen to be reading this thread and feel like being generous toward a shamelessly gushing fanboy end user, I'm available… ;)

Edit: Never mind - Official product page says: "Mystic Light APP available on PC, phone and tablet".

WOO-HOOOO!!!
