Sounds impressive. Looks like they're only removing a couple of wavelengths which are causing the most noise, but that's certainly a difference. I wonder how well it works when the base noise level isn't that high.

Pointless, just another gimmick to waste more energy. A well designed vented case with a bit of soundproofing does the trick for me!

Massively improved airflow and static pressure would be great for water-cooling though - could really improve the cooling performance of all-in-one units with a single 120mm fan, whilst maintain the same noise level. Or presumably you could run the fan slower and it would be even quieter…?

cant see it as pointless, thats a massive difference and it seems that it will be a great contender for the gentle typhoons, may have to get some of these to test out compared to my noctua and GTs. I find the worst type of noise is the high pitch stuff, if its a low constant monotone its fine for me but when im hearing spikes or other just more higher/noticeable its god damn annoying.

How much energy does this noise cancellation tech require?. I think noise is more of a problem for me due to my case, all aluminium is great for weight but terrible for vibrations so i struggle to keep my system quiet as i would like it, if i could eliminate my pump vibrations id be laughing i think, then its just my psu fan which ive noticed more recently… ive tried putting sound proofing foam everywhere but it hasnt helped unfortunately. Time for a new case me thinks!.

I try to make my system as quiet as possible so i'm very much looking forward to this. Shame it's such a long time to wait though.

Never been a big fan of expensive cooling.

I keep my base units in the cellar. Cold all year round = good. Noise is not a problem (no matter how many fans are whirring away) as I'm upstairs and I keep the cellar door shut. Keyboards/Mice wireless… Leccy/monitor/USB, etc. leads are on extension leads carefully routed through my house. Don't even bother with optical drives anymore (they can be so noisy too)… just store everything on external HDD's.

Point is, you can cancel out noise without spending a fortune and using a bit of lateral thinking.

I don't understand Noctua, they make such great fans and then paint them such a horrible color.

I like noctua as they engineer some nice stuff but I cn already see the £30 mark hanging above these fans ;)

I have to agree with you there, my case has a black & red theme so a Noctua fan would ruin the colour scheme I have in there.
