I can, the rumoured Webtop-like Dock Mode would be awesome.

Perhaps this is where the browser is ditched and Chrome comes as default?

Ohh, just ordered a HTX One X, wondering now if I should cancel the order, I was under the impression this wasn't out until October?

I thought this was a logical move really, i maybe on my own on this but if they jumped to 5.0 already i assume we would be left with even more fragmentation, Google know this is an issue and its taken OEMs ages to finally get ICS to hardware and i think Google simply want ICS to get the majority of the share until next year and then finally we can move onto another major revision, this is more generic and less substantial fixes/improvements, ICS is already a massive improvement for Android and it was meant to put an end to this fragmentation and it will, as soon as OEMs finally catch up… (Nvidia and LG im looking at you!).

MS has stolen the show though thats for sure!.

No. I would have thought that you would have had a good chance that HTC will offer JB on the HOX at some point. To not do so would leave them at too much of a disadvantage. Unless you were meaning that you'd maybe be better off with a Nexus phone…

You're not on your own in having that opinion - there's just too many “new” phones still shipping with Gingerbread (e.g. pretty much Sony's entire 2012 line so far) while the manufacturer's “get their s**t together” to put ICS in place.

So a bit of "consolidation rather than innovation" could be justified at this point. As you say, ICS was a massive leap forward, and maybe we all need to take five and get our breath back. Just as long as I can have Key Lime (which presumably will be “5.0” now) on my SIII officially (i.e. from Samsung) then I'm content.

One thing they could put in Jelly Bean though would be to upgrade the default music player so the darned thing shows track numbers - or at least offers the option! Bet you the iPhone can do that! :p
