This is way way over priced, its just not competitive. You can get the Corsair AX850 for that price.

I have to agree on thisone. According to scan.uk the AX750 is just few pounds more (like 4 more) with very, if not similar specs. At this stage I imagine buyers reaching for the 750W range.
Having HX750 myself which I bought for some 115£ if my memory serves, at this price I'd really expect,as said, platinum or 100W more.

The power supply seems good, the option to change it to a single rail is interesting although I think it is over the top. For £125 I would of expected better voltage regulation, slipping below 3.3v, 5v and 12v is not what you expect from a premium priced PSU.
I honestly expected better results for the price and agree that the rating was too generous considering that fact.
I think one has to approach anything brand-new to the market with the future in mind. The supply's good, very good, albeit priced highly on introduction.

It's close to being Platinum-certified and, really, one per cent here or there isn't going to make a huge difference to your electricity bill.
It's very, very quiet, negating, I think, the need to have the fan switch off at low-wattage loads. Personally I'd rather have the fan on at all times, thereby keeping the components cool(er). You really can't hear it even when listening up close and personal.
There is little need to have a fully-modular supply, that is, with a detachable 24-pin connector. It has to be used no matter which system you choose to run with.
I agree the price is high right now, but when you look at it next to other supplies - and we have many - it just oozes build quality. Of course, it's horses for courses and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
You're getting it all wrong over the pricing. You've got to think of it as £25 per year for 5 years instead of a one off hit of £125. Build on these is fantastic, they are quiet, not maybe or could be, these are quiet | Full Stop. I'm a bit surprised that the packaging was not mentioned, its a small thing but the individual boxes for the cable types just affirm the view that you have bought something that is just that bit over the run of the mill. The manual is also that, a manual, not a piece of A4 with some diagrams.
I have a P8 example of this psu and have the following hanging off it, Phenom X4 @ 4Ghz, 6970, 4 SSDs, 4 1TB Hdds, LSI MegaRaid 9240i, 2 DDC pumps and 11 120mm fans and its rock solid.
