FYI: I tried to enter but had issues. Even after liking both pages and clicking the refresh-type-button, no comp form or usable link or confirmation (othuer than liking the page) appeared at first. This then magically did appear after I left and reloaded the entire page.

Though recently I've just found that FB has been forced upon my person with every turn, rl, forum, review sites, competitions just general browsing. This is what has prompted my response.

We are keen to engage with our readers on HEXUS, the Forums, and also on Facebook/Twitter.
We are not excluding people from entering :) We also have run over 10 competitions which have been site only specific.
I've been blocked from Facebook for a week so i won't be able to enter. Damn it!!!

Same sentiment here,sorry as it was not directed towards the Hexus brand,but towards facebook. After all we are all appreciative of the free forums especially when sites like XS expect you to pay a nominal amount to join. I got fed up with FB after a while,and if you see other tech forums, many of them over time have migrated a large number of their competitions towards facebook only!! :(

I can imagine remarks like the ones your referring to not only have a deflating impact on the Hexus team but also on the Vendors who look at the competitions being run before deciding to set aside some of their limited marketing budgets in order to fund more competitions. If I were a vendor and saw that the members on a site had complained about a competition that I had funded then I might look to a more appreciative audience when allocating my marketing spend for future promotions, but I would also have an expectation that the competition would be able to give me a return on my investment which in this case might be something that is being measured in an increase in people liking the Corsair pages and therefore pushing their Facebook profile up to win mind share through increased visibility, I think it is more likely that the choice for using Facebook was made by Corsair and not Hexus as they have provided the competition prizes and no doubt set the terms and conditions.
I think the prizes are awesome and have entered and good luck to all who do enter.

Guys - I am closing this thread - there is zero benefit to anyone with it being open.
I'm shocked at some of the feedback and how ungrateful people are.
Maybe we should just ditch doing competitions.
