Cats, dogs, alter ego's and now businesses… I find Facebook tedious as it is, I don't want to have to search through settings and options to filter out businesses as well :(

I think Facebook has gone a bit overboard. All I really want from a social networking site is to be able to stay in contact with friends and family, to connect with people; I don't care for all the none-sense they've attached to it.

Agreed. I have an account, and it's doubtlessly an important resource for me, but I use it as little as possible for exactly the reasons you listed.
