I really like the idea of this keyboard, but for £250 I would want mechanical keys.
Like it, but need mechanical keys plus the keys to be laser etched for me to fork over that kind of money, though to be fair its not a solid no lol
A lot of extra features on there that I don't want or need. Maybe I am different from other gamers, but I don't see how half of that stuff is useful.
For £250, I want it to pour me a pint and massage my fingers whilst whispering sweet nothings into my ear about just how ‘special’ I am to of bought a £250 freaking keyboard!
Yet another product designed specifically for right handed people.
Lefty's like me would find that keyboard extremely uncomfortable if not practically impossible to play a game with.
The same can be said for the mouse sitting next to it.
I live in hope that one day companies like this will realize that a good portion of the population is left handed and design these things appropriately
amazing looking keyboard but agree with tekgun about mechanical keys

Whilst I agree with you because I am left handed too I wouldn't say a ‘good portion’ of the pops is left handed.
I have adapted myself to use a right handed KB/Mouse. Just took a while.

between 10 and 30 percent depending on your source. even at the low end 1 in 10 is still a good portion
Very nice looking though a little too expensive for my taste
Good or bad, i dont care because £250 is just to much for a keyboard!
With regards to left handed keyboards, they are ambidextrous by their very nature, could you not just remap WSAD (ASDF) to IKJL (JKL;) as per home finger positions for the respective hands? a mouse shaped the wrong way I can understand, but iv never had anyone complain about their keyboard being wrong-handed.
In fact getting the new person in the office to go to the local comp shop for a left handed keyboard seems like a thing to do on Friday.
The extra controls in front of the keyboard are positioned in such a way that they favor use by the left hand thumb while on the wasd keys with the mouse in the right hand (right handed).
Remapping to ijkl is not a very handy solution. on this particular keyboard it would make those aforementioned extra controls out of reach, and in general the placement of the ijkl keys is not an ideal position.
wasd is very close to the edge of the keyboard, on the average keyboard ijlk is more in the middle unless you slide the kayboard off to one side which is an unnatural typing position.
I tend to use the arrow keys since they are closer to the edge and easier to reach.
The placement of the touch controls are also right hand biased as a left handed player would either have to remove their hand from their mouse or reach across the entire keyboard to reach them.
So like I said this keyboard is very right hand biased
what do you bind, from a WSAD perspective, E,R,F,SPACE,SHIFT,CTRL to when using the arrow keys?
R-Ctrl, R-Shift, Enter, Delete, Page Down, Num 1, Num 0 plus the arrows
If I want to map for lesser used functions with a little reach then home, end, backspace, page up, num 4 and num 7 come into play as well.
–edit–
I will add that I use a Logitech MK320 wireless desktop which I bought specifically because it's layout around the arrow keys was different to the standard and gave me more buttons within easier reach.
standard layout keyboard or a laptop style one with the arrow keys touching those around them? are you little finger and thumb not off the keyboard?
Standard layout, arrow keys stand on their own.
I can't use a keyboard where the arrows keys are surrounded as I find it too bunched up.
Yes my thumb and little finger are generally below the keyboard but I have just got used to twisting my hand in a particular way to hit the mentioned keys without lifting my hand or losing and controlability
coincidentally im using a logitech media keyboard here now like so

Layout is pretty identical.
You need to stop using the arrow keys, today, now. Seriously, that is a horrible way of doing it.
Looks great! would love one of these, but £250 is ridiculous for a keyboard. I could build a small computer for that.

I don't think so.
I have always done it that way and I have yet to find a game that I could not map comfortably so why would I change it now.
I could just as easily say that using wasd is a horrible way of doing it which in my opinion it is.
go on, right now. With your right hand.
index on J
middle on I
ring on L
pinky on /
thumb on space
ahhhh, does that not feel good?
no it does not.
in my position my wrist is straight and at the edge of my desk which is comfortable.
doing it that way my wrist is twisted my fingers are bunched in and the edge of the desk is 2/3 of the way to my elbow, highly uncomfortable and not to mention painful when my twisted wrist starts to cramp up
that means you don't have your keyboard in a suitable position for typing either then? since that's basically the home keys.
Look i'm not going to argue with you about this all day.
My keyboard is positioned so that “the home keys” are directly in front of my like they should be. this puts the arrow keys in direct line of my right shoulder making the arrow keys the most comfortable place to put my hand for long sessions.
I do it my way, you do it yours lets leave it at that because you constanly basically telling me my way is wrong is starting to border on the offensive.
ok fine, sorry to trouble you with conversation.
membrane keys, screws everywhere, £250
lolno
You are literally the second person I have EVER seen use the arrow keys over WASD
Interesting keyboard but I'll stick with my Merc Stealth Keyboard. I have not found anything yet that beats the gamepad on the left side of the Merc Stealth. Also, I am right handed but I agree that it would be nice to see more options for left handed people.
I would want to have applications running on the screen such as CPU and GPU temp monitoring software.
Can someone PLEASE explain to me what on earth is so great about mechanical keys? Every mechanical keyboard I have used feels really nasty, clunky and of course has a horrible “clack clack” noise when you type on it.
I play quite a few games online and have never found my keyboard to be a hindering factor… I use a pretty cheap Microsoft 1000 Wireless desk-set and have been very happy with it.
This keyboard looks very nice, possibly a bit too big for some people's desks but I'd love to give it a go.
I don't think i'm “pro” enough - I love these things:

…both for work and play I have one. But i've never tried a ‘modern’ mechanical keyboard (the last one I used was when they were the only option) to compare it.. I don't know - I press the keys and stuff happens - I too don't understand what i'm missing?
i think this bored is so epic and i will have to invest in one to go with my R.A.T 7
