Glad I not the only that didn't see a personal problem with the 2.5% raise. I can get more than that off through cashback sites and similar via cashback credit cards. If I was buying a car on the other hand I might have pushed a purchase through but £2.50 on £100 blu-ray player - I doubt I'd have noticed!

(Note - This is me personally - I know £2.50 is worth a lot more to some (Not that I'd consider myself well off) - its relative - The person worried about £2.50 probably doesn't have £100 to spend)
